Amateur events 2009
Three- and nine-round events and rapid tournament
The amateur events are open for all players.
Weekend-three-round events (16 - 18 January)

Entries
- Only the reply card (during the month of November) as well as entries via the electronic form will be accepted. Entries via e-mail will not be accepted. Please enter as soon as possible!
- Entries will be accepted up to and including 13 January 2009, but early entries will ensure greater chance of participation. If the event is fully booked the organisers will draw for allocation on November the 14th.
- You will receive a message if allocation is not favourable.
- From November the 19th a list with participants in the amateur groups will be published on our website www.coruschess.com, renewed every Friday.
- All participants in the Corus Chess Tournament 2009 will receive a so called ‘proof of participation’ in the first week of January 2009.
- The organisers would like to ensure opportunity to take part in the tournament. Participants in the nine-round event are not allowed to apply for the weekend-three-round event and/or the rapid tournament.
Applications for these events will automatically preclude entry in the nine-round event.

| The fee has to be paid on registration at the start of the tournament. |
Prizes
There are money prizes in all events. Distribution of the prizes will cease thirty minutes after the finish of the last round in each event. After that time prizes will not be paid.
